From June 20 to June 23, 2017, in Novy Urengoy there was a section on the safety of oil and gas facilities of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor). Theme of the meeting: “Organization of work to prevent accidents at the Hazardous Production Facilities of the oil and gas production complex”.
Heads and specialists of OOO GAZMASHPROEKT, heads of regional offices of the Service, representatives of the largest gas companies, and a delegation from Norway took part in the work of the section. In total, more than 100 participants are involved in the event.
The head of Rostekhnadzor Aleksey Alyoshin noted that the necessary level of industrial safety can be ensured only in close interaction of the state regulator, state authorities in the field, business, scientific and expert community. The venue of the event was chosen not accidentally. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District is the region where the bulk of Russian gas and gas condensate is extracted. At the same time, the severe climatic conditions of the Far North and the peculiarities of the environment make higher demands on compliance with the strictest standards for ecology, industrial safety and labor protection.
